Valinte was the company of Into Lintero. The name joins the start of valaisin, the Finnish word for a light fitting, with the first letters of his surname. The business worked in Malmi, Helsinki, from the early 1940s, and a new factory was built in 1959.
Valinte made ceiling and wall lights and table, desk and floor lamps in brass and painted metal, with opal glass and, later, acrylic and fabric. Catalogues survive from 1958 and 1972. No well-known designer is recorded for its fittings. Pieces are sometimes marked V-e, sometimes only with a number.
The company was renamed Lampukas Oy in the 1970s.
